Corrugated 6/10: cheap (95-130 MAD/m²), max 1.80 m span. Steel deck 35/207: 30-50% more expensive but 2.50-3 m span, more modern look, better sealing. Villas/pro buildings: steel deck. Agricultural sheds: corrugated.

What sheet thickness to choose?

0.40 mm (6/10): minimum acceptable, light sheds, 15-20 year life. 0.50 mm (8/10): recommended standard, villas, 25-30 years. 0.60-0.75 mm: heavy industrial, 40+ years. Z275 galvanization doubles life vs Z140.

How many sheets for 100 m² roof?

Standard 1×4 m corrugated = 4 m² usable (with 10-15 cm overlap). For 100 m²: ~28-30 sheets + 10% waste + accessories. 0.50 mm sheets: 12,000-18,000 MAD. Frame + install: 12,000-28,000 extra.

Sheet + insulation: how to prevent heat?

Bare sheet = 60-70°C under roof in Moroccan summer. Solutions: 1) 8-10 cm rock wool between purlins. 2) Sandwich panel sheet-PIR-sheet (350-550 MAD/m²). 3) Ridge + gutter ventilation. 4) Light color paint (reflects 30%). South: sandwich panel mandatory.

Galv sheet and rust: real lifespan?

Z140 galv (140 g/m² zinc): 15-20 years in dry climate. Z275: 25-35. Pre-painted: 35-50 years with care. Seaside: -40% life. Chemical industries: -50%. Screws through sheet = rust points at 5-10 years if not EPDM-protected.
