How to choose a construction company in Morocco?
Key tips to select a reliable contractor and avoid unpleasant surprises.

Check the Trade Register (RC)
Every construction company must be registered. Ask for the number and verify it with the commercial court. Avoid undeclared companies.

Require a detailed contract (CCTP)
The technical specifications must detail materials, quantities, deadlines, fixed price and delay penalties. Never accept a verbal agreement.

Visit ongoing construction sites
A good contractor has nothing to hide. Ask to visit an active site to assess work quality, organisation and safety standards.

Check decennial insurance
Decennial insurance covers construction defects for 10 years. Request a copy of the certificate — it's your best protection against defects.

Compare at least 3 quotes
Let competition play out but beware of abnormally low prices. A good quality/price ratio matters more than rock-bottom prices hiding surprises.

Plan staged payments
Never pay more than 30% upfront. Schedule payments by milestones: foundations, structure, second fix, finishes. Hold 10% until handover.
