Paint in Morocco costs 25-280 MAD/m²: standard acrylic interior 25-55, satin washable 45-95, façade siloxane 75-160, anti-moisture 95-180, epoxy floor 180-280.
Always 2 coats MIN (3 if radical color change). 1 primer coat mandatory on new plaster. Inter-coat: 4-12h. Apply at 20-22°C, 50-65% RH.
Yield: 8-12 m²/L acrylic interior per coat. 100m² 2 coats: 17-25L. Siloxane façade: 6-9 m²/L (28-33L for 100m² 2 coats). Always +10-15% margin.
Effective as COMPLEMENT to root-cause treatment. Anti-moisture paint (95-180 MAD/m²) blocks salt/condensation 3-7yr BUT doesn't fix rising damp/infiltration. Always: diagnose, treat cause, then finish.
Morocco inland: 8-12yr siloxane façade. Coastal (Tanger, Casa, Agadir): 6-9yr (salts+UV). Atlas/desert: 6-10yr (intense UV). Signs: discoloration, chalking, micro-cracks, persistent moss.
Eco paint (water, <30 g/L VOC, Ecolabel): top health (kids' rooms, allergies), +20-40% price, equivalent perf. Standard acrylic (30-100 g/L): safe if ventilated. Avoid solvent glycerol (>250 g/L, odor 1-2 weeks).
